Summer Reading Program "Dig Into Reading Dino Dig"

When: Saturday, June 22, 2013 - 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Children ages 1-5 will get digging in our 'archaeological' sites. Sift through sand to find 'fossils' and 'treasure' to take home. Parents will help their children with this activity. Buckets and shovels provided.

Chess Lessons & Game Playing

When: Saturday, June 22, 2013 - 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Where: Laramore A

Come and learn how to play chess or if you already know how, come and play with other chess lovers!

Kids Indoor Flea Market

Children to bring pre-priced items and food to sell. Tables will be first come, first pick. You may bring your own table. No sign-up required.

Children will make a designated craft. Supplies will be provided.

Summer Reading Movie and Popcorn

When: Tuesday, July 02, 2013 - 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Where: Laramore A/B

Children's Room will feature a movie and popcorn for all ages. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library for movie title.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

When: Wednesday, July 03, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Children use their artistic skills to make sidewalk art. Chalk will be provided.

Summer Reading Program Paper Making

When: Saturday, July 06, 2013 - 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Children ages 6 and up can make their own paper with help from artists at MoonTree! Parents or caregivers should accompany children for this event. All supplies are provided by the library.

Bubble Day

When: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 - 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Children will play with bubbles-even being encased in a soap bubble! Refreshments served. This program takes place at the Hoosier Old Wheels Picnic Shelter in the Centennial Park. In case of severe storms, the rain date will be Thursday, July 11.

Marshall County Book Club

The Marshall County Book Club is a non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide a relaxed atmosphere for adults to discuss topics and books of interest. Everyone who loves reading and books is welcome to participate.

Plymouth Area Writers Workshop

When: Thursday, July 11, 2013 - 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Persons interested in discussing topics related to the craft of writing, in sharing manuscripts or works in progress, or in exploring ideas for developing their writing are welcome to join the group. Former English Department Chair and published author Anna Liechty will convene the group and serve as facilitator.

Turning the Page....Plymouth Public Library's Centennial Birthday Party

Come one, come all to celebrate the Plymouth Public Library's Centennial Birthday! Your library is turning its page in history to become 100 years young on July 14, 2013.
The Friends of the PPL Library are celebrating with cake and punch. The library will have various activities for every ages that can be enjoyed by all of our library's family and friends!

Last Day to Register for the PPL Summer Reading Program. Please register online at: www.plymouth.lib.in.us and then log-in your books. The YA Deptment also needs all logged in books to be brought to PPL Children Department for a Librarian Check for Credit. Thank you

This is the last day to log-in the books that you have read for the Summer Reading Program. This last Log-In Time will only be from 9am to 8pm today. Please remember that the YA logged-in books also have to be brought to the PPL Children Department for a Librarian Check to count for the YA Auction. Thank you
